The slender evergreen Clove tree, native to Indonesia and the Molucca Islands, stands up to 12 meters tall with a smooth gray trunk. This oil boasts a herbaceous, sharp, burnt-woody aroma, akin to Clove Bud Essential Oil but less spicy-sweet. With historical cultivation spanning over 2000 years, the original wild trees in the Moluccas are said to produce an oil without eugenol.
