French Pink Clay

French Pink Clay, also referred to as Rose Kaolin Clay, is a naturally gentle clay blend composed of White Kaolin Clay and Red Kaolin Clay. The soft pink colour comes from the naturally occurring iron oxides present in the red kaolin component, rather than from added dyes or synthetic colourants. This combination results in a mild, finely textured clay that offers balanced cleansing and light oil absorption without being overly drying.

Because both white and red kaolin clays are among the gentlest mineral clays available, French Pink Clay is well suited for dry, sensitive, or mature skin types. It helps cleanse the skin by drawing out surface impurities while maintaining a softer feel compared to more absorbent clays such as bentonite or green clay. 

In formulations, French Pink Clay is commonly used in facial masks, soaps, cleansers, body treatments, dry powders, and cosmetic applications where a gentle clay with light colour is desired. It can also be used to impart a natural pale pink tone to cold process soap, masks, and powders without the need for additional colourants.
